AFLCA Player of Year
The AFL Coaches Association’s AFL Champion Player Award is an award voted by the coaching panels on a 5,4,3,2,1 basis after each home and away game, acknowledging outstanding effort by an individual player in a season.
Adelaide’s Simon Goodwin was joint winner with Sydney’s Adam Goodes in the 2006 voting.
It was an outstanding year for Goodwin, who also won Adelaide’s Club Champion award, was Best Team Man and was selected in the All-Australian side.
