Biography

AFC Debut Game: Round 1 v GWS Giants, 2017

Stevie-Lee Thompson was a speed machine from the Northern Territory who dazzled opponents with her pace and aggression.

A former touch footballer who didn’t play Australian Football until 2015, Thompson was one of Adelaide’s original Darwin-based draftees, chosen with Pick No.106 at the 2016 AFLW draft.

Thompson played every game in the first three years, as a defender the first two seasons, before moving into the forward line in the third. She starred in her first season as a forward, winning the League’s leading goalkicker award in 2019 after kicking 14 majors, and being named in the All-Australian side. Thompson featured in all three of Adelaide’s premierships and was awarded Life Membership in 2025.
