Biography

AFC Debut Game: Round 1 v GWS Giants, 2017

Kellie Gibson was only 17-years-old when she was selected to play for the Western Bulldogs in the first-ever AFL women’s exhibition match, at the MCG, in 2013. Signed by the Crows as a marquee player after moving to Adelaide from Perth in 2016 to work for the SANFL in its community programs, Gibson played all eight games in the inaugural AFLW season. The first player to kick a goal for the Crows in the opening game of 2017, she played every game that season including the winning grand final. Gibson then moved home to play for Fremantle and swapped to West Coast for its inaugural season in 2020.
