Biography
Adelaide signed Jasmine Simmons as an alternative sports rookie ahead of 2022 AFLW season (6).
Originally from Broken Hill, Simmons returned from three years in the United States where she played as a guard on the Oregon State University basketball team. She captained the Australian Sapphires at a junior level and won gold with the Australian Women’s basketball team at the World University Games in 2019.
Simmons made her AFLW debut with Adelaide in Round One 2022, against Brisbane. As a young child, Simmons played football with the boys at the North Broken Hill Football Club – the same junior club as Taylor Walker – but stopped playing in her early teens. She played eight games for the Crows in two seasons and was traded to Port Adelaide in 2023.
