Amber Ward

Adelaide recruited lockdown defender Amber Ward ahead of Season Seven through a trade with West Coast. Ward featured in 14 games across two seasons with the Eagles, showing maturity beyond her experience and holding down a key position in the Eagles’ defence. She was originally from SANFLW Club North Adelaide before she signed with West Coast as an undrafted free agent in 2021. Ward grew up supporting Adelaide and made her debut for the Crows in Round Two, Season Seven. She played four games in her first season at West Lakes but did not break into the side in 2023.
