Developed at the Port Magpies, Trent Ormond-Allen was a Melbourne’s No. 10 draft pick in 1993. But after playing just eight games for the Demons in three years he was traded to the Crows. Versatile and boasting an enormous leap, he played 18 games in 1997, despite breaking a jaw later in the season. He returned to play in the finals but after the preliminary final was diagnosed with glandular fever and therefore missed the grand final (and premiership).
Despite 15 appearances in 1998 he also missed out on the Club’s second title. After battling to become a permanent member of the side and not playing a game in 2000, Ormond-Allen was delisted.
