Tom Warhurst was a long-serving and reliable full-back for his home club Norwood, where he played 231 SANFL games and was on two premiership teams (1982, 1984).
Early in his career the South Australian State Team player was signed by Essendon and drafted by Fitzroy, however he chose not to make the move interstate, opting instead to remain in the SANFL. After playing in the Crows’ first game he only added one more match to his AFL tally, with a knee reconstruction at the end of 1991 ending his career at the highest level.
