Taylor Walker, the boy from Broken Hill, became Adelaide’s first AFL NSW Scholarship player in 2006. Prior to being drafted in 2007, he guided North Broken Hill to a premiership, booting seven goals, and was named best-on-ground despite being just 17.
He had a breakout year for the Crows in 2011, kicking 63 goals.
He captained the Crows during 2015 to 2019 (2019 joint captain with Rory Sloane) and was twice voted the AFLPA Best Captain, (2016 and 2017), was a three-time All Australian nominee and two-time leading goalkicker for Adelaide.
After an injury interrupted 2018 season, Walker underwent surgery on his foot at the end of the season. That same year he was Adelaide’s leading goalkicker with 43 majors, however after a challenging season on and off the field for Adelaide, Walker stepped down as co-captain.1n 2020 by passing Tony Modra he became the Crows highest goal kicker to that date.
