Drafted from West Adelaide by North Melbourne, Scott Welsh debuted for the Kangaroos as a 17-year-old in 1996. Three seasons later and he was an established player during their premiership year, however, Welsh asked to be traded back to SA due to personal reasons.
He had immediate success as the Club’s leading goalkicker in 2000, a feat he achieved on four occasions. In 2005 he booted a career-best 58 majors. When he was traded to the Bulldogs in 2008 he left with 270 Club goals to his name, which at that time placed him seventh all-time for the Crows.
