Scott Lee’s time with Adelaide was a second chance after he failed to break into Hawthorn’s squad in the 1980s. He impressed with Central District, winning their best-and-fairest in 1987 and 1990 and was part of the inaugural Adelaide squad. He was a member of the Club’s first team to play in the AFL and was one of Adelaide’s most consistent and reliable defenders in the early seasons of the Club. After his AFL career he remained a loyal player at the Bulldogs, accumulating 243 games for the side.
