Mildura-born Sam Kerridge was drafted at pick No. 27 in the 2011 National Draft and made an immediate impression on the training track. He debuted in Round Three of 2012 as a sub, going on to win the Mark Bickley Emerging Talent Award that season.
Kerridge next appeared in 2013, often playing as a tagger, although he booted six goals in a win over North Melbourne. In 2015 he lost his spot on the team and when Carlton offered him a contract, he made the move back to Victoria.
