Paul Patterson was a strong, disciplined defender from West Adelaide who was an inaugural Crows squad member. A policeman, he made his AFL debut late in 1991 but did not receive many more opportunities and was delisted at the end of 1993. He retired from the SANFL in 1999 after playing his 200th game.
