Biography

Adelaide’s first selection in the 2017 Rookie Draft, Patrick Wilson was a key part of Sturt’s SANFL premiership prior to being drafted. He missed their 2016 triumph due to a shoulder injury but bounded back as one of the league’s best.

Wilson was named in the SANFL Team of the Year and was selected as a mature-age player who was ready-made for the AFL. He led the SANFL Crows during his first season at the Club, dominating the midfield and winning the Crows State League Club Champion award. In his second season he continued to impress and was again named State League Club Champion while finishing second in the SANFL’s Magarey Medal count. During his first two years he played two AFL games.
