A promising tall forward from Woodville-West Torrens, Nathan Bock was drafted as a rookie in 2002 and upgraded to the senior list the following year. He debuted in 2004 and in 2007 kicked a career-high 27 goals, before a permanent shift to defence boosted his career.

The 2008 season saw him claim the Malcolm Blight Medal as Adelaide’s best player while he was also named in the All Australian team. Bock passed his 100-game milestone with the Crows but injuries at this stage of his career saw him look for a fresh opportunity, Consequently Bock accepted an offer to join the newly-created Gold Coast Suns in for the 2011 season.

A shocking broken leg in 2012 put him on the sidelines and while he returned to the field, the severity of the injury prevented him from returning to his best. His career ended at 140 AFL  games.
