Myke Cook was selected at pick 38 in the 2007 national draft by Adelaide as a quick and aggressive player who was clever around goals. He spent the first 12 years of his life living in Adelaide attending St Peters College and supported the Crows as a youngster but was drafted from the Sandringham Dragons.
His first season was nearly ruined by a severe hamstring injury. Cook played just six games in the SANFL but his late season form in the South Adelaide reserves saw him make his league debut for the Panthers in the last round. He then made his AFL debut in Adelaide’s 2009 season opener against Collingwood at the MCG. Over the next two seasons he started well but was unable to hold his spot and was delisted at the end of 2011, having played 14 AFL games. Cook then had a successful VFL career with the Sandringham Zebras.
