Matthew Kelly was a talented midfielder/flanker selected in Adelaide’s foundation squad but injuries limited his career to just two AFL games. He was drafted by Collingwood at the end of 1989 but stayed with Norwood and then joined the Crows for the 1991 season. He made his AFL debut in 1991 but had a run of injuries and then suffered a serious knee injury in the opening round of the SANFL 1993 season. Kelly’s grandfather, Maurie Arbon, was a State footballer and 1949 premiership player with North Adelaide.
