Mark Viska, from Glenelg, was one of eight South Australian players signed by the Crows before the 1992 season. He made his AFL debut in 1993 and played across half-back or in the back pocket. Recognised for his fearless attack on the ball and the opponent, he spent five years on the Crows’ list but after 13 games in his first season, opportunities at the top level diminished. Viska returned to Glenelg where he resumed his successful SANFL career, playing 143 games until retirement in 2001.
