Kris Massie, a No. 7 draft pick in 1997, began his career at Carlton with 43 games in four seasons, including the 1999 grand final in which he was the youngest player on field. Massie switched to the Crows at the end of 2001, but regular footy never quite fell his way; his best season was 2006 when he made 20 appearances. While he gave glimpses of his best and proved to be an influential player, Massie was delisted in 2008 and moved to the SANFL with Norwood. He later coached Glenelg for three seasons.
