Jonathon Griffin, a 202cm ruckman from WA, spent one season as a rookie before being upgraded to the senior list in 2006, having honed his craft in the SANFL for a second year with Central District. Griffin was thrust into the spotlight in 2007 following injuries to first-choice ruckmen Rhett Biglands and Ivan Maric. That year he played a total of 16 games including the elimination final.
Having represented the Indigenous All Stars against Adelaide prior to the 2009 season, he played only two Club games in the AFL season. After playing a further 11 games in the 2010 season, he was traded to Fremantle after 41 games for the Crows.
