Jonathon Beech found himself overlooked at the AFL draft despite repeatedly applying and impressing with West Adelaide in the SANFL. The strong-marking forward trained with Adelaide in 2014 but was not drafted, however, after he helped the Bloods to the 2015 SANFL premiership interest reignited.
He was rookie-listed by the Club in 2016 and spent two seasons on the AFL list. He played just three games in 2017 before being delisted and returning to West Adelaide.
