John Klug was a journeyman prior to joining the Crows having played for Richmond (VFL Reserves), Glenorchy (Tasmania) and Woodville before he broke through for his AFL debut. He was named Woodville’s best-and-fairest in 1990 and on debut for Adelaide booted four goals. Klug finished eighth in the Club’s best-and-fairest. His playing career ended suddenly in 1992 due to a serious infection following knee surgery.
