AFC Career Guernsey Number: 15

Originally from South Adelaide, Jason Torney joined Richmond in 1995 and played 118 games with them in eight seasons. Adelaide pounced when Richmond decided not to re-sign him and he ended up with the Crows in 2003. The defender proved a valuable pick-up, playing all 24 games in his first season and so justifying Adelaide’s decision

Torney had injury problems throughout 2004, early in 2005 and again in 2006, but the strong and reliable talent bounced back for a full 2007 season, arguably his best. Despite that he was delisted at the end of the year, returning to the SANFL with South Adelaide.
