James Sellar was an elite junior athlete in several sports. He was Adelaide’s first-round selection, pick No.14, at the 2006 AFL National Draft. James made his AFL debut With Adelaide, as a key forward, in Round Seven of the 2008 season. He then had to wait nearly 18 months for his next appearance as a back-up ruckman and played 11 games in 2009. James played just nine games for Adelaide over the next two seasons and was delisted by the Crows at the end of 2011. James moved on and played for a further two years and 23 games with The Melbourne Football Club.
