James Podsiadly was a premiership player at Geelong.  He joined Geelong as a mature-age pick from the VFL and was their leading goal-kicker in 2011 – a premiership year.

James joined Adelaide in the 2013 trade period, as the Crows sought a mature player to bolster their forward line. At age 32, he became the oldest player to debut for the Crows and  played all but one game in the 2014 season and reached his 100th AFL game. James finished his career with the SANFL Crows, booting 20 goals in his final two games, and stayed on at the Club as an assistant coach in 2016.
