James Podsiadly, a premiership player at Geelong, joined Adelaide in the 2013 trade period to assist a Crows forward line that had been missing injured star Taylor Walker. The key forward had joined Geelong as a mature-age pick from the VFL and was their leading goalkicker in 2011 – a premiership year.

Aged 32, he became the oldest player to debut for the Crows and his first season played all but one game. He reached his 100th AFL game at the Club. He finished his career with the SANFL Crows, booting 20 goals in his final two games, and stayed on at the Club as an assistant coach in 2016.
