Curtly Hampton was a Northern Territory zone selection for the GWS Giants, taken as one of their first batch of recruits for entry to the AFL in 2010. He kicked the club’s first ever goal, prior to joining the AFL, in a trial hit-out.
He went on to play 51 games with the Giants until the 2015 season when he was traded to Adelaide. The defender never truly settled with his new team and after 12 games in three seasons he retired abruptly in 2018.
