It would be unfair to judge Clayton Lamb’s career on his time with Adelaide. Although he played only one game for the Crows, Lamb had been a seasoned SANFL performer across a decade where the midfielder/half-forward played 261 games at West Adelaide and Glenelg. Lamb also represented South Australia. He had been drafted by Hawthorn in 1986, remained in SA, and was then offered an opportunity at the Crows.
