Drafted by Essendon from North Adelaide, Chris Ladhams spent three years in the system without making his AFL debut. Ladhams returned home after being picked up in the 2001 Pre-season Draft and made his debut in the opening round that season. A small, talented left-footer with a powerful kick, he played regularly from mid-2002 until the end of 2003, which was his best season with 20 goals from 20 games. He also played in the 2003 Wizard Cup premiership side. Ladhams played six AFL games in 2004 when he won North Adelaide’s best-and-fairest award but did not play any AFL games in 2005, his final season on the list.
