Brent Williams was an All Australian under-17 forward from Victoria and was Adelaide’s first draft pick, No. 18, in 1995. He showed promise in his first SANFL season with West Adelaide, but after playing the first seven AFL games of 1997 he slipped out of favour and did not return. He was traded to Melbourne for Nathan Bassett but was unable to add to his AFL game tally.
