Bernie Vince caught Adelaide’s attention after playing SANFL with Woodville-West Torrens in 2005, moving from the Yorke Peninsula. The Crows drafted him with pick No. 32 at the 2005 National Draft and after finding his groove at the elite level, Vince was one of the Club’s most consistent. In 2009 he was recognised as Club Champion following one of his best seasons.

The midfielder overcame several injuries to win the Michael Tuck Medal in 2012 as best on ground in the NAB Cup premiership, while he kicked four goals in his 100th game. At the end of the 2013 season he accepted a long-term contract offer from Melbourne and was traded for pick 23. He reached the 100 game milestone at Melbourne as well, also winning the Demons’ Best and Fairest in 2015.  He retired in 2018, reaching 229 career games.
