Adelaide Football Club - Crows History Locker

Twenty years after the Adelaide Football Club played its first official AFL game, the milestone was marked in style.

Players, coaches and officials involved in the first year of the Crows were special guests at the round one game against Hawthorn on March 26, 2011, and watched the Crows come from behind to win by 20 points.

Nearly all the 20 original Crows players – plus others from the inaugural list – visited the rooms before the game to meet the current players and listen to a short speech by Adelaide’s first captain Chris McDermott.

They also were driven around AAMI Stadium in a motorcade and then formed a guard of honour at the race.
